Oil Condition Sensor

Delivering accurate real time oil condition monitoring of any lubricating oil. Based on a patented method the Oil Condition Sensor gives you a true 360 degree view of how your oil is performing.

Traditional dielectric oil sensors rely on changes to an electric current passed between two electrodes to sense oil degradation. The IPU OCS offers superior oil condition monitoring by measuring both capacitance and conductance across the oil, a combined measure known as permittivity. The combined reading provides a sensitivity up to 60 times that of a standard dielectric sensor, giving you very early warning of changes within your oil.

The IPU OCS will detect oil oxidation, water, glycol, fuel and dirt contamination, TAN & TBN, viscosity, wear particles, soot and oil temperature giving you full insight into your oil condition.

Oil condition and trends can be monitored via the OCS proprietary software or remotely via IPU O/Lab web based oil monitoring system.

All this information is then printed in an easy to read format, stored on the computer database and transmitted to OLAB.
